JMU vs MSU Player Props.

MSU Coach Tom Izzo | Source: Detroit Free Press

COLLEGE BASKETBALL IS BACK!! After 7 months, the long awaited return of college basketball is finally here and there is no better way to kick off the season than with a 100+ game slate. Of those 100+ games, one of them features my Michigan State Spartans in their opener vs James Madison. Heading into tonight, I didn't expect to have much action because I didn't expect them to offer player props on this game. Much to my surprise, many sportsbooks have player prop lines out and I am looking to take advantage of them early and often. I have found a few lines that I think have some value for tonight's game and I think we can make some money early in the college basketball props market. Let's start the season with some winners.

#2 Tyson Walker - SG - MSU | Source: Spartan Avenue

Tyson Walker O1.5 3PM -115

The first prop that caught my eye is Tyson Walker over 1.5 3 pointers made. Tyson Walker is the leader of this Spartan's team and is back for his senior season with some unfinished business to take care of. Walker has gotten better each and every year under Tom Izzo and I have gone on record calling him a "poor man's Cassius Winston". For anybody familiar with what Winston was to MSU basketball, this is a major compliment to Tyson Walker. I think Walker will draw a lot of comparison's to Winston this season and I think it will start tonight. Walker has the ability to heat up and take over games. He is going to be the go-to guy for the Spartans when they need a bucket and I expect him to deliver more times than not. While this is the first regular season game, Walker had 3+ 3 pointers made in each of MSU's 2 exhibition games, as well as went over this in the Elite Eight game against Kansas State. Walker should have plenty of attempts from beyond the arc tonight and I expect him to be a 40%+ 3 point shooter this season. 1.5 at -115 is too good to pass up and I am in for 1u on this play.

#22 Mady Sissoko - C - MSU | Source: Mlive.com

Mady Sissoko O 5.5 Points -105

This line is shocking to me. Sissoko is the Spartans starting center and while he wasn't a big time scorer last season, I expect him to get more involved this year with another season of preparation. Sissoko should get plenty of minutes tonight and should be able to control the paint. He is an improved free throw shooter from the start of last season and I look for him to get to the line tonight to help us get over 5.5 points. I think Sissoko has his way with JMU down low and I expect him to score closer to 10 points in this matchup tonight.

Mady Sissoko O 5.5 Rebounds -130

I am heading back to Mady Sissoko and looking for the Michigan State big man to control the glass in tonight's game. Sissoko will be the biggest and most physical presence down low and I think his opportunities to grab boards will be endless. Sissoko opened last season going over this total in his first 3 games against inferior opponents and I think we see more of the same tonight. Sissoko was a raw talent last season who lost minutes to both Carson Cooper and Jaxon Kohler, however, tonight it looks to be a mix of just Sissoko and Cooper, giving Mady more opportunities to grab boards. I look for Sissoko to get 8-10 rebounds in tonight's game.

I could not be more excited for the return of college basketball tonight and I expect to have another profitable season on the college hardwood. I feel great about these prop bets tonight and think we will get the season off to a great start in East Lansing. Best of luck if tailing tonight and go SPARTANS!
