FITTING THE NFL MOLD

Ideally, a RBs height will be between 5'9" and 6'1" and he will weigh somewhere between 200 and 230 lbs. Tuten is on the smaller side of the spectrum, but he fits the ideal mold of an NFL RB. The two greatest predictors of NFL success for RBs in the combine are the 40 Yard Dash and the Broad Jump. These test a players speed as well as their lower body explosiveness. Tuten was the highlight of the Combine as he ran the fastest 40 time among RBs and tied for the 2nd best broad jump. His outstanding performance paired with his size make him one of only two RBs rated with an extraordinary rating for BOTH Speed Score and Burst Score.

COLLEGE PRODUCTION

Tuten saw a moderate workload in college having just 200 and 206 touches in his two college seasons. NFL teams raise red flags when a player has 700 or more carries in college or 300+ carries in a season. He has an elite YPC (6.4) but struggled with ball security as he fumbled 9 times in his two years.

WATCHING THE TAPE

Tuten's speed is evident as he was also returning kicks for the Hokies. When he gets in the open field, he's gone. He had 11 runs greater than 20 yards in 2024 alone. He can juke, hurdle, stiff arm, or truck defenders on his way to the endzone and displays excellent contact balance. He is extremely elusive and is able to tight rope the sideline giving him the entire field to work. Tuten can catch the ball out of the backfield with ease making him a true double threat.

THE LANDING SPOT

I hate this landing spot is the Jaguars keep ETN and love it if they trade the talented back. Bigsby had a "breakout" season in the same way a dementia patient breaks out of a nursing facility. At first you notice it, and then you realize things like this happen all the time and there's nothing special about him. The Jags have been slowly improving their line and Trevor Lawrence is due for a bounce back after an injury plagued season. Tuten would fit perfectly in the ETN role as he can catch the ball and can use his speed and elusiveness to make big plays.

WHERE TO DRAFT HIM

In redraft leagues, Tuten should be drafted in the late rounds and is a great pick if you fade RB early. In dynasty rookie drafts, Tuten is a 2nd round pick with huge upside.
