Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Adds: Week 9

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Adds: Week 9

Last week, I gave you three options to pick up, and of the two that played, they both scored TDs and double-digit points. Let's keep the hot streak going and I have 3 more must add players to boost your rosters for the rest of the season. I find players under 50% ownership according to Fantasy Pros to give you options that are available in a majority of leagues. With all that out of the way, let's get into the picks and sign up to place your picks on Sleeper using code "Bettorgreen" or using the link at the end of this article!

Tyrone Tracy Jr, RB, New York Giants, 41.4% Owned

This one’s a no-brainer, so I’ll keep it brief. With Cam Skattebo out for the season, Tracy slides right back into the Giants’ starting RB role. He’s paired with a dual-threat quarterback who’s brought life back to this offense and forces defenses to stay honest. Tracy himself is a versatile, dual-threat back who should immediately become a focal point of the offense — putting him firmly in weekly flex territory. He’s the clear top waiver add this week in every league, regardless of format or scoring settings.

Tyjae Spears, RB, Tennessee Titans, 40.9% Owned

Tyjae Spears has quietly been gaining ground in the Titans’ backfield, out-snapping Tony Pollard in two of his last four games. The reason is simple — he’s been the more efficient runner. Spears is averaging an impressive 5.5 yards per carry compared to Pollard’s 3.9, and he’s also the only Titans running back to see red zone targets this season. He currently sits just outside the RB3 range in points per game, but with bye weeks in full swing, Spears is a more than capable fill-in who carries real upside if his role continues to expand.

Troy Franklin, WR, Denver Broncos, 37.8% Owned

We may have just been a year early on Troy Franklin. His chemistry with Bo Nix is finally translating to the NFL level, and it’s showing — Franklin has seen a massive 18 targets and scored 3 touchdowns over his last two games. He ranks 23rd among wide receivers in both receptions and targets, proving his workload has been steady all season with no games under four targets. Even more impressive, Franklin is tied for second in the league with 12 red zone targets, right alongside Amon-Ra St. Brown. Despite this elite usage, he’s rostered in just over a third of leagues. Franklin ranks third among receivers in designed targets per game and commands 33.3% of his team’s red zone looks — numbers that make him a locked-in WR3 who has no business being on waivers.

HONORABLE MENTIONS: Elic Ayomanor, Jayden Higgins, Bhayshul Tuten, Juwan Johnson
