FITTING THE NFL MOLD

QBs come in all shapes and sizes now with scouts relying more on certain metrics to evaluate the position. They are looking for an AY/A (Adjusted Yards Per Attempts) over 9.0 which takes into account yards, touchdowns, and interceptions giving a better overview than raw YPA. They are also looking for a sack rate under 5% and an INT rate under 2%. Dart projects to be a high upside and high-risk prospect coming out of college with an exceptional AY/A but a less-than-ideal sack and interception rate. He has a large frame that can absorb hits and doesn't have any glaring concerns.

COLLEGE PRODUCTION

Dart consistently rose to the occasion and had better stats when he faced the better competition which is an encouraging sign. He had fewer reps than Sanders but also didn't suffer the same amount of damage that Sanders did. Dart led all of college football in Passer Efficiency Rating, yards per attempt, and AY/A in 2024 showcasing his massive upside. The biggest criticism of Dart has to be his low TD numbers. He never had a season with over 30 TDs and only had 81 passing TDs over 4 seasons. His first half stats are also better than his 2nd half stats where he has lost composure and melted under the pressure taking sacks and committing turnovers.

WATCHING THE TAPE

Dart has a nice deep ball and makes it look effortless. He is fearless with pushing the ball down the field and will give his receivers a chance to make a play. He is also very athletic and can find the room to create first down runs. He has a larger frame so once he gets in the redzone, he will put his body on the line and run through contact to get the TD. He can take a little longer when going through his reads which makes him hold the ball longer and gets him in trouble. While this leads to him getting sacked, it also leads to him making bad decisions and turning the ball over. Dart is a competitor with no fear passing or running the ball. He has the upside to will a team to victory; but can also be the reason a win becomes a loss.

THE LANDING SPOT

Dart was the last fantasy relevant player drafted in the first round going ahead of the projected 2nd best QB in Shedeur Sanders. The Giants selected Dart and have no need to thrust him straight into action after they recently signed Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston this off-season. Dart will get to sit and learn for a year and then likely starts for the Giants Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season.

WHERE TO DRAFT HIM

Dart is un-draftable in redraft leagues as he likely doesn't see the field this year. In Dynasty rookie drafts, Dart is worthy of a mid 2nd round selection.
