NBA Player Props 11/18

Cade Cunningham dribbling the ball up the court

Sports betting can be cruel to you sometimes. That is how I felt after this weekend, as I watched the two duds from Friday's props article bounce back their next outing and surpass the over I chose the previous game. Shai-Gilgeous Alexander finished 2 points shy of the 30-point total we needed but came back on Sunday to score 36 points. Then there was Tyler Herro who couldn't buy a bucket on Friday night against the Indiana Pacers. He finished with 20 points and went 6-16 while shooting 2-9 from three. Herro ended up playing the Pacers again on Sunday where he finished with 28 points while making 7 threes in the process. Christian Braun squeaked over his total even without Nikola Jokic playing, which was a delight. However, last week was not an overall good performance. That needs to change this week and it starts today with these three props.

Cade Cunningham 40+ Points + Rebounds + Assists (-125)

The Detroit Pistons might have found something in this team. They are 7-8, which might not sound great, but in the Eastern Conference that gets you the 5th seed right now. Furthermore, the Pistons did not get their 7th win last season until February 7th. There is a bright future for the Pistons, which is something that hasn't been said in years. The catalyst for this change is their former number-one overall pick, Cade Cunningham.

The young guard has been doing it all for the Pistons. Cunningham is leading the team in PPG (23.1) and APG (8.7) while being third on the team in RPG (7.3). He is a jack of all trades this season and is poised to earn his first All-Star nod.

Tonight the Pistons face off against the Chicago Bulls, who are in a little bit of a funk right now. The Bulls have changed their philosophy and gone with a faster approach. They own the fastest pace in the NBA, but that has completely tanked their defense. The Bulls are in the bottom 3 in opponent's PPG, RPG, and APG. They also allow the most APG by point guards. This is the perfect spot for Cunningham, who can score, rebound, and pass. Bet it NOW over at DraftKings! Bet $5 and if you win, get $150!

Giannis Antetokounmpo 12+ Rebounds (-155)

Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the best players in the world right now. He leads the league in PPG while being 4th in RPG. However, it seems like the Milwaukee Bucks can't win games despite his heroic performances. They are in desperate need of a turnaround and Giannis is trying his hardest to lead the charge. His efforts are going to be on full display as they take on the red-hot Houston Rockets, who are 8-2 in their last 10 and are on a 5-game winning streak.

The Rockets are a well-rounded team, but they excel at rebounding. They lead the league in RPG. However, they allow power forwards the 4th-most RPG. Giannis is going to find ways to have a great game, regardless of the opponent. He is a great player that can thrive in any environment. Giannis is a monster on the glass, especially in November.

Giannis is averaging 13 RPG this month, while also garnering 12+ rebounds in 6 of the 7 games so far in November. The Bucks are going to need their best player to dominate and that includes hitting the boards.

Karl-Anthony Towns Over 11.5 Rebounds (-115)

The New York Knicks swung for the fences this past offseason with the acquisition of Karl-Anthony Towns. Trading for KAT helped solidify their need for a center. Trading for KAT has been a good move so far, as the Knicks did start off a little sluggish, but are starting to put the pieces together.

When the Knicks start winning more games, the world will notice how great of a season KAT is truly having. He is currently 10th in the league in scoring (26.4 PPG) while being 3rd in rebounding (12.4). KAT has averaged 12 RPG before, but that was before Rudy Gobert came to Minnesota. KAT took a step back from the scoring and rebounding and knew he was a complimentary piece in both aspects. The scoring, but more importantly, the rebounding is back.

The Knicks face the Washington Wizards, who are unequivocally one of the worst teams in the NBA. They are at the bottom in almost every category, but the one I wanted to take advantage of was their abysmal rebounding. The Wizards allow the 2nd-most RPG to opponents while allowing the 4th-most to centers only.

KAT should feast on this weak Wizards' frontcourt. Hopefully, the game is not too far out of reach and he can still finish with this over.

NBA Record: 17-15
