The Stanley Cup Playoffs are back with a nice four game slate tonight and I absolutely love this card. I started the NHL playoffs with a 4-1 night, but I have regressed since and gone just 2-6 in the last 2 nights. I made a few handicapping mistakes that I am disappointed with but I am dialed back in and feel really good about today's plays. Let's get right into it.

Tampa Bay Lightning @ Toronto Maple Leafs
The first game on tonight's board is game 2 between the Lightning and Maple Leafs. The Lightning dominated game one, coming away with a 7-3 win. The Maple Leafs are in desperation mode early tonight as they try to avoid heading to Tampa Bay down 0-2. The Leafs had a lot of pressure heading into game one on Tuesday night and it showed. I think the Leafs tighten things up defensively and try to help out their goaltender Ilya Samsonov to avoid giving up another onslaught of goals. I think the Leafs will get up early in this game and play a slower paced, more defensive style of hockey to try to protect it.

New York Rangers @ New Jersey Devils
We are heading to New Jersey for the 2nd game on tonight's card where the Devils, like the Leafs, look to avoid heading on the road down 0-2. I am going to keep this game short and sweet as I won't be making a play in this game. I have a future on NYR to win the series (+115) and the Rangers to win the Cup (+2000) so I will be sitting back and rooting for the Rangers. I think this game lands on either 5 or 6 total goals which keeps me off the total of 5.5 and while I think the Rangers are the superior team, I think we could get the Devils best effort in this game.

Seattle Kraken @ Colorado Avalanche
The Avalanche host the Kraken in the 3rd game on the board tonight and just like the first two matchups (and the last one for that matter), the reigning Stanley Cup Champion Avalanche are looking to avoid hitting the road down 0-2. This game is my favorite game on the card and there are A LOT of plays that I like in this game, all of which correlate. I think the Avalanche somewhat slept on the Kraken in game one and it wouldn't shock me to see the Avs win the next 4 and advance with ease. I think they come out flying tonight and score early and often. I will be making 3 plays in this game, but have a lot of leans as well and will be cooking up a same game parlay for a small wager as well. I could see the Avalanche dominating tonight to a 6-1 victory.

Winnipeg Jets @ Vegas Golden Knights
The final NHL game on the card tonight is game 2 between the Jets and Knights. As I must mentioned, the Knights are in the same boat as they look to avoid heading to Winnipeg down 0-2. I sound like a broken record here. While I think Vegas likely wins this game, the line has moved too far to play it as it currently sits at -165. The one play I really like in this game is the under 5.5. I was on the under in game one and the Jets broke my heart as they scored 2 goals in the final 81 seconds of the game to win 5-1. That game was a stone cold under until it wasn't. Tonight, I am looking to get my revenge and I think this game stays low scoring throughout. Vegas should be able to tighten up defensively and I don't expect Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck to regress much from game 1. The Jets have been an under team all season and this spot sets up nicely for the under. I really like this play and I can't wait to avenge my loss from Tuesday night.
