FITTING THE NFL MOLD
Ideally, a WRs height will be between 6'1" and 6'3" and he will weigh somewhere between 205 and 215 lbs. Ayomanor has the build to compete at any position on the next level. The three greatest predictors of NFL success for WRs in the combine are the 40 Yard Dash, the 3-Cone Drill, and the Vertical Jump. These test a players speed as well as their ability to high point a ball. Ayomanor's stats may not jump off the page, but he was one of the bigger receivers in this draft class and put on a good performance. His stats translated to a Speed Score in the 88th percentile and a Burst Score in an 85th percentile.
COLLEGE PRODUCTION
Two factors that scouts will raise red flags on are if a receiver has multiple 100+ reception seasons along with injuries and if they play in air-raid or spread heavy systems. Ayomanor saw back-to-back 60+ reception seasons and has been a durable option playing in every game these last two seasons. But it is worth noting he has a previous injury where he tore his ACL, MCL, and meniscus.
WATCHING THE TAPE
Ayomanor is an interesting guy to watch, as one play he will have a one handed OBJ type catch and then the very next play drops a wide-open pass. He uses his big frame to power through smaller defenders and is hard to bring down. He has a tendency to push off that too frequently went uncalled. He won't be able to get away with that in the NFL. He can also be careless about his foot placement as he will need both feet to come down in bounds to make the catch count.
THE LANDING SPOT
Yuck. Elic ends up going to Tennessee after they already drafted a WR with the first pick in the same round. The Titans added Lockett and Van Jefferson in free agency while still trying to pretend that Burks isn't a massive bust. With all these players fighting for time behind Ridley, I don't see much playing time for Elic this season.
WHERE TO DRAFT HIM
Elic should not be drafted in any form of redraft leagues. In dynasty rookie drafts, Elic is worth a third-round pick as a lot of the receivers in front of him are older, which could pave the way to him climbing the ranks faster. There are a lot of question marks in Tennessee right now and Elic is not a player I'm willing to reaching on.
