I find players under 50% ownership according to Fantasy Pros to give you options that are available in a majority of leagues. With all that out of the way, let's get into the picks and sign up to place your picks on Sleeper using code "Bettorgreen" or using the link at the end of this article!
Sean Tucker, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 20% Owned
Sean Tucker is coming off a huge week and suddenly finds himself on the fantasy radar. With the Bucky Irving situation still rocky, it’s not a bad idea to invest in Tucker as a depth piece, especially since he’s been quietly effective with the limited work he’s received this season. That said, expectations should stay in check. He’s unlikely to overtake Rachaad White, and if Bucky returns to full health, Tucker’s role could evaporate quickly. We’ve already covered nearly every other running back worth adding on waivers, so if you’re looking for more RB options, make sure to check out our previous articles.
Alec Pierce, WR, Indianapolis Colts, 33.6% Owned
I’ve got to give credit to my pops for this one, because I hadn’t been paying much attention to the Colts’ receiving room and had chalked their recent success up to Jonathan Taylor and Tyler Warren. When he mentioned that Michael Pittman had been practically invisible, I went digging—and that’s when Alec Pierce immediately stood out. While he does carry a boom-or-bust label, he has quietly been top two on the team in receiving yards in each of the last five weeks, ranks second among their receivers in target share, and actually leads the entire team in receiving yards. The wildest part is his air-yard dominance: Pierce has 1,048 air yards this season, nearly doubling Pittman’s 586 and ranking sixth in the entire NFL. The Colts are launching deep shots to him consistently, and with that kind of usage, he only needs a few connections per week to return value as a flex option.
Juwan Johnson, TE, New Orleans Saints, 29.3% Owned
Juwan Johnson has quietly been one of the more reliable tight end options this season. Since Tyler Shough took over at quarterback three weeks ago, he’s thrown three touchdowns—two of them going Johnson’s way—and Johnson has finished as a TE1 in every game during that stretch. He’s also earning a 12% first-read target share, a clear sign that Shough is looking for him early in his progressions. With Rashid Shaheed now in Seattle, Johnson steps in as the No. 2 option in a passing attack that should be playing from behind often, giving him a steady floor and an increasingly attractive fantasy outlook.
HONORABLE MENTIONS: Sam Darnold, Xavier Legette, Tyjae Spears, Michael Wilson
