Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Adds: Week 4

Week 4 Waiver Adds

It's only week 4 but the waiver is screaming out in agony from hardcore milking. I'm also starting to think some of you aren't playing in leagues as "hardcore" as you think they are. There are a lot of repeats on this week's rising stars and falling, fuel deficient planes. In any case, let's get to the priority adds for this week.

Tre Tucker, WR, Las Vegas Raiders

I'm sorry but I personally think this one is a trap. While the 90% plus snap share is great and the YPT and YPC check out the three touchdowns are not sustainable. Plus, that offensive line is offensive to the hopes and dreams of that team and Geno is dookie. Would be just like the Raiders to not make anything out of Jeanty and Bowers but somehow have Tucker as the most fantasy relevant option on the whole team though. For whatever reason Mr. Unreturned Letter hyper targeted Tucker this week but there are more receiving options on that team than I believed there would be in pre-season. If the elites can't eat, I don't think Tucker will continuously make this a habit. Meyers still exists, Thornton, and even Bech plus Mayer when he clears protocol. This feels like a trap.

Trey Benson, RB, Arizona Cardinals

Leaving Trey Benson on the wire to the point he's the 2nd most added player of the week? What did Jason Aldean say? Try That In A Small League? I'm not even going to do a write up about this. Shame. Blow the rest of your FAAB on this one.

Tyquan Thornton, WR, Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs told the Raiders we have Tre Tucker at home we aren't pulling over. Same issues and concerns except add into the mix Worthy returning any game now and Rice inching closer and closer to return as well. The Chiefs like to ride the carousel like women of ill repute so behind Worthy and Rice good luck figuring out who to start and when to start them. Doesn't even matter that Kelce looks so terrible and the run game is atrocious. Mahomes is the only member of this team I want.

Caleb Williams, QB, Chicago Bears

Again, why? Who are you picking up when you drop or leave Caleb on waivers? You all are lucky this sport isn't played in June or this would be a hate crime. If you need a QB, pick him up and hold him. You could do a lot worse with injuries already mounting and QBs being depleted in super flex or 2QB leagues. He's not the most amazing option but I'm sure he's the best QB left on waivers right now.

Sterling Shepard, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Shepard has been a nice safety valve for Baker Mayfield but even if Evans misses time Godwin will be back soon and Egbuka looks legit though he's still doubted by so many it seems. I think Shepard could still mix in as a decent WR3 for the Bucs which might make him a good desperation flex or bye week filler. McMillan could return soon as well so monitor that situation closely but for now Shepard has a small but seemingly consistent role.

Honorable Mentions:

Luther Burden, Miles Sanders, Tory Horton, Hunter Henry, Chris Rodriguez
