Women's World Cup: Semi-Finals Predictions

women's world cup semi finals picks and predictions

Going 5-2 has me feeling like Randy from South Park needing a wheelbarrow for my massive nuts. I’m here to help get you paid out, Bettor in Green or Bust style. This article will cover the Women’s World Cup Semifinals.

Spain (-165) vs Sweden (+135)

Sweden may be the hottest team in this tournament. They have knocked out the last two world champs in the United States and Japan. Japan was one of the favorites to win the tournament and Sweden sent them home in regulation. Spain lost to the same Japan team in group play 0-4. I believe Sweden has been playing as best as they can and have also had luck with a Japanese penalty piss missile ringing the goal post which could have tied the game. I’ll roll with Spain to put an end to Sweden’s incredible run.

Safe Play: Over 1.5 Goals (-210)

Value Play: Both Teams to Score (+110)

Risky Header: Spain W in OT (+1400)

Something to chew on: Spain has had at least 25 shots in each knockout stage game.

England (-150) vs Australia (+120)

Australia is the hosting country and is one game away from being in the finals. I’m going to rain on the parade again and side with England. Australia got dominated for a half by France but was eventually able to pull out the win with penalty kicks in OT. England also started slow but was able to turn on the jets and gut out a 2-1 regulation win over a tough Colombian team. Both teams are top 10 in the World Cup rankings but neither excel in any certain area. Australia lost to Nigeria in group play and England is currently undefeated with 5 straight wins. I expect a close battle.

Safe Play: Both Teams to Score (+115)

Value Play: Over 2.5 Goals (+165)

Risky Header: England O 2.5 (+650)

Something to chew on: To win by 2 - England (+425), Australia (+700)
