English Premier League Best Bets: Matchweek 11 (Nov. 8, 2025 - Nov. 9, 2025):

ree

Welcome to English Premier League Best Bets, a Bettor in Green Article Series where we break down the latest action in the English Premier League (EPL) and my favorite bets for the upcoming matchweek.

For an overview of what to expect in this Series, check out my 2025/26 EPL Season Preview and Futures article here.

Recap:

Arsenal continued their incredible form, getting a win and another clean sheet on the road, their 7th in a row in all competitions.

Arsenal’s closest competition, Manchester City and Liverpool, kept some pressure on Arsenal, also getting a win and 3 points.

Manchester United suffered a 2-2 draw, meaning the United Fan who won’t cut his hair until United win 5 matches in a row will have to keep waiting.

In the London Derby, Chelsea got a 0-1 win over Spurs in a dreadful performance from Tottenham.

Just when I thought it couldn’t get worse for my betting picks, we have an even worse weekend than before.

We hit 1-2 for Best Bets, winning Arsenal to Win to Nil. Unfortunately, we lost all 5 Across the Globe bets in a dismal performance.

I’m in a bit of a slump, though planning to bounce back this week with an exciting slate of matches!

Upcoming Matches:

Matchweek 11 kicks off Saturday morning with Spurs hosting Manchester United.

We then have 4 more games on Saturday, across 3 time slots.

On Sunday, we have a huge match between Manchester City and Liverpool, both of whom could benefit greatly from a win.

Let’s get to the bets:

Best Bets:

Pick #1: Tottenham to Win Either Half -125 (Nov. 8, 2025; 7:30 a.m. EST):

This first bet may be a little ugly.

Spurs have been one of the worst teams at home this season, going 1-1-3 at home, their only home win in the EPL coming in the first match against Burnley.

Further, their performance against Chelsea was extremely lackluster last weekend. This match is also the early kickoff, and those of us who play Fantasy Premier League often have a rule about not backing the early kickoff.

So why am I backing Spurs?

Spurs just had a resounding 4-0 win (at home) in the Champions League on Tuesday. They played FC Copenhagen, who aren’t the strongest team, but Spurs showed great resilience, going down to 10-men and then proceeding to get two goals thereafter.

One goal was a fantastic solo effort from Micky van de Ven, who started from his own penalty box and charged down the field to score, looking reminiscent of former Spurs player Son Heung-Min’s award winning goal from a few years ago.

While Spurs still have injuries in midfield and attack, they should be able to field their best defenders now that Romero is back and healthy.

They could rest players, but with no midweek game this week for them, they will have some rest before playing Arsenal next weekend.

If United had won last weekend against Forest and were seeking a 5th straight win in a row, I’d be thinking a little differently about this bet.

But with the way United blew a lead to Forest combined with Spurs needing to turn around their home form in the EPL, I’m backing Spurs to use the confidence from the Champions League to help restore their home form.

Pick #2: Arsenal to Win to Nil -115 (Nov. 8, 2025; 12:30 p.m. EST):

For our next Best Bet, I’m going back to the well and backing Arsenal to break a record with their defensive streak.

Arsenal remain first in the EPL and are undefeated in the Champions League, thanks in large part to their impressive defense.

They’ve only allowed 3 goals in all competitions this season, a total of 17 matches, including 4 Champions League matches, where they’ve yet to concede a goal

They’ve now had 8 clean sheets in a row in all competitions, matching a record from 1903. They now have a chance to beat that record when they travel to the Stadium of Light to face Sunderland.

Part of Arsenal’s dominance is their ability to control possession up the field, allowing for the opposition to have minimal shot opportunities.

Sunderland have been extremely impressive to start the season but will it be enough to stop the strongest defense in Europe right now?

Pick #3: Nottingham Forest v Leeds United Under 2.5 Total Goals -135 (Nov. 9, 2025; 9:00 a.m. EST):

For my final bet, I’m looking to a gritty matchup between Nottingham Forest and Leeds United.

Nottingham Forest under Sean Dyche is a more pragmatic team, prioritizing defensive stability.

They’ve had their moments of flashes, particularly at home, such as last weekend’s 2 goals within minutes of one another early in the 2nd half.

However, they’ve also had moments where they’ve struggled in front of goal, as they did in their recent Europa League match against Sturm Graz, having a goal ruled out for offsides and having a penalty kick saved.

Forest have scored 4 total goals since Dyche’s arrival, with only one match going over 2.5 total goals, their 2-2 draw last weekend to Manchester United.

Leeds have also struggled for goals this season, sitting 17th in goals per match in the EPL, averaging less than one goal per match.

They’ve scored 9 total, though only 3 of their 9 EPL goals have come away from home.

One concern is that, in Leeds’ 11 matches in all competitions this season, under 2.5 has only hit 5 times.

However, playing a gritty Forest team at home, I expect a low-scoring affair, perhaps a 1-1 draw or 2-0 Forest victory.
