ree

Welcome to English Premier League Best Bets, a Bettor in Green Article Series where we break down the latest action in the English Premier League (EPL) and my favorite bets for the upcoming matchweek.

For an overview of what to expect in this Series, check out my 2025/26 EPL Season Preview and Futures article here.

Recap:

While it’s still early in the season, matchweek 11 may be pivotal in the title race.

Critically, Arsenal dropped points with a thrilling 2-2 draw with Sunderland, while Manchester City beat Liverpool in a 3-0 win to stay 4 points behind Arsenal.

Wolves continued their poor start to the campaign, having fired their manager, Vitor Pereira, following it up with a loss to Chelsea.

We hit 1-2 for Best Bets, winning on Spurs and losing with Arsenal and the Under for the Nottingham Forest / Leeds match. We did a little better Across the Globe, hitting 3-2.

Upcoming Matches:

Matchweek 12 kicks off Saturday morning with Burnley hosting Chelsea.

There are 7 matches total on Saturday, with key matches being Liverpool hosting Nottingham Forest and Newcastle hosting Manchester City

Sunday starts with an interesting match between Leeds and Aston Villa, then the marquee match of the week, a North London Derby as Arsenal host Tottenham Hotspur.

The week ends on Monday afternoon with Manchester United hosting Everton.

Let’s get to the bets:

Best Bets:

Pick #1: Crystal Palace Moneyline -110 (Nov. 22, 2025; 10:00 a.m. EST):

For my first Best Bet I’m looking to fade the worst team in the EPL, Wolves.

Wolves host Crystal Palace this weekend in Rob Edwards’ first match in charge of Wolves.

While I often back a “New Manager Bump,” I simply can’t get behind it yet for this struggling Wolves side that have yet to win an EPL match this season and have lost their last 5 in all competitions.

Crystal Palace, on the other hand, haven’t lost in 4 matches in all competitions.

Palace have only conceded 9 goals in the EPL this season, with only Manchester City and Arsenal conceding fewer. They’re tied for 2nd in clean sheets with 5.

While Palace travel to Strasbourg in the Conference League later this week, they’ve had some time to prepare for this match during the international break and have enough quality to get past Wolves this weekend.

Pick #2: Manchester City Moneyline -105 (Nov. 22, 2025; 12:30 p.m. EST):

For our next Best Bet, I’m looking to an exciting match between Newcastle United and Manchester City.

Manchester City have found a good run of form, losing only 2 matches in their last 15, winning 11 in that stretch.

Further, Haaland, their top scorer, is one goal away from 100 EPL goals and looks set to break the record for the fastest player to reach 100 EPL goals, breaking the record currently held by Alan Shearer.

Further, Newcastle will be without defender Dan Burn and attackers Yoane Wissa and Anthony Gordon.

City have a strong history in this fixture, losing only one of their last 35 EPL matches against Newcastle, also winning their last 12 EPL away matches against Newcastle.

Following their strong match against Liverpool, I expect City to keep up the pressure on Arsenal in the title race.

Notably, both of these clubs have an upcoming Champions League match on Tuesday, though Manchester City will play that match at home (vs Bayer Leverkusen), while Newcastle will have to travel to France to play Marseille.

Bonus: I’ll also be backing Erling Haaland to break the record, taking Haaland Anytime Goalscorer -140.

Pick #3: Manchester United Moneyline -140 (Nov. 24, 2025; 3:00 p.m. EST):

For my final bet, I’m looking to the other side of Manchester, backing Manchester United to beat Everton.

Manchester United are in a decent spell of form, having not lost in 5 matches and scoring 12 goals in that stretch. Last time out, they led Spurs, conceded 2 goals, but found a late equalizer to salvage a point.

They’ve also been decent at home, picking up 4 of their 5 EPL wins at Old Trafford this season.

Everton, on the other hand have been relatively poor on the road, with a 1-1-3 record, their only win coming against Wolves.

While history isn’t something on which I rely heavily, Everton have not beaten United in any of their last 8 meetings and haven’t beaten them on the road in their last 29 head-to-head matchups, dating back to December 2013.

Across the Globe:

  • Young Boys -1.5 -105 (Switzerland; Super League)

  • Juventus Moneyline +100 (Italy; Serie A)

  • Atlético Mineiro to Lift the Trophy -135 (International Clubs; Copa Sudamericana Final)

  • Atlético Madrid Moneyline -140 (Spain; La Liga)

  • Philadelphia Union Moneyline -120 (USA; MLS Cup Playoffs)

Season Record:

Best Bets: 16-17

Across the Globe: 21-35
